What's on offer
This year all new student members of the NUT will be receiving a New-For-2008 Toolkit for Trainee Teachers', which is packed with resources to give you a head start on your studies.
The NUT has joined forces with Inclusive Behaviour Publications to give you The Interactive Guide to Behaviour Management, a CD-Rom for trainee teachers, for free in this year's Toolkit.
Classroom scenarios
“The Interactive Guide to Behaviour Management is a must for all trainee teachers, says John Bangs, head of the NUT's CPD programme. “It's written for teachers, by teachers, and packed full of hints, tips and key strategies for managing classroom behaviour.
The CD-Rom normally retails for £17.99. It includes:
- A video room for you to listen to other teachers talking
- Excellent advice from experienced practitioners
- Resources to print off and use in the classroom
You'll also get the 08/09 Student NUT Diary in your Toolkit. It has a comprehensive guide to your rights during your studies and useful contacts you might need. It also includes advice and guidance on a wide range of subjects and will help you organise your time at University
The NUT 08/09 handy wall planner is in there too, to allow you to look at your schedule for the year at a glance.
