All Trainee Teachers Deserve An Incentive
The NUT and the NUS are campaigning to end the disparity between BEd and other undergraduate courses leading to QTS and PGCE trainees’ eligibility for:
- Training Bursaries (England only)
- Training Grants (Wales only)
In Wales, undergraduates, depending on their income, may be eligible for Special Support Grants.
Visit: www.wales.gov.uk to find out if you are eligible.
A range of financial incentives are available for newly qualified teachers who teach shortage subjects in England and Wales. The NUT has produced a guide to these, entitled Your Finances: Facts and Figures for Student Teachers.
FURTHER DETAILS OF THE INCENTIVE SCHEMES CAN ALSO BE OBTAINED FROM THE TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT AGENCY FOR SCHOOLS WEBSITE: www.tda.gov.uk
